The Story Of India – Michael Wood

Folk, if you guys are die-hard fans of India like me or if you just are plain curious about India, watch this new series on PBS called “The Story of India”. It’s a six-part series by Michael Wood.

Michael Wood traces the history (geography, religion, science whatever you can think of) of India right from 3000 BC. I used to dread my history books during school days. (I blame the system for that). But there is much untold and fascinating about India that I dearly wish I could go back to school and read all of it again.

But guys, don’t miss this. I watched two parts yesterday and it was simply great. The Western world has long been trying to focus on the dirty lanes and  poverty of India. But this is the first time I have seen a Westerner talking about not just good but great things about the same dirty lanes and the ramshackle huts of India.

Here’s more information on it -

The guy Michael Wood reminds of me of Imran Khan. Doesn’t he?

Enjoy watching it and let me know your comments !!
